Must be Antakshari. Conceptually, it is very close to the PMM, isn't it?
My guess was Pinball. A lot of 'perpetual motion machine' had something involving metal balls moving around.
Unfortunately, I have been told otherwise by the wikipedia entry. So close and yet so far.
